Position Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and people-centred People & Culture generalist to join our People & Culture Operations team at LEGO Digital Play. We are looking for a People & Culture generalist with employment law expertise, as this role will be the go-to expert on all employee relations/employment law matters, providing strategic and hands-on support to managers and employees across the business. You will play a key role in fostering an inclusive, fair, and positive workplace culture while managing general people queries from onboarding through to offboarding, be confident in independently handling all employee relations (ER) cases and working with the Director of People & Culture Operations on complex ER cases. You will support in shaping policies that reflect our values and ways of working. Key Responsibilities:
Build & deliver exceptional Employee Experiences
Lead the delivery of exceptional employee experience from onboarding through to offboarding
Develop, review, and maintain global people & culture policies and procedures, ensuring they are up to date, legally compliant, and aligned with company culture and values
Be the first point of contact for all employee queries across all our locations
Employee relations & employment law
Act as the primary point of contact for all employee relations matters, providing expert advice and guidance to employees, managers and leadership on disciplinary, grievance, performance management, and absence cases
Manage complex and sensitive ER cases end-to-end, ensuring fair, consistent, and legally compliant outcomes.
Design and deliver Leader training and toolkits on key ER topics including handling difficult conversations, managing performance, and promoting inclusive behaviours
Partner with the People & Culture leadership team to proactively identify trends in employee relations data and recommend interventions to improve employee experience and reduce risk
Ensure all employment contracts and other contractual documents across all jurisdictions, are updated ensuring they remain compliant with legislative changes
Ensure compliance with employment law in all jurisdictions and stay current on legislative developments, advising the business on potential impacts
Organisation change and transformation
Support organisational change initiatives including mergers & acquisitions, restructures, and other programmes, providing ER and change management expertise throughout
Build strong relationships across the business and with people partners, acting as a trusted advisor and champion of a positive workplace culture
Qualifications:
Degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources or Employee/Labour Relations with solid knowledge of European and global labour laws, employment regulations and standard practices in employee and labour relations
Experience in an employee relations role, with demonstrable experience handling and resolving complex ER case in a global, fast-paced, tech start-up or scaling environment
Strong negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build solid relationships with functional leaders and effectively interact with employees at all levels
Strong mediation and conflict resolution abilities, with the ability to handle sensitive cases with empathy, discretion, and professionalism
Proven ability to influence and coach leaders at all levels, building capability and confidence in people management skills
Experience developing and implementing people policies and frameworks from scratch is highly desirable
A calm, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to balance employee advocacy with business needs
Employment Law certifications highly desirable
Experience in the digital gaming, technology, and/or digital sector
